The EducationUSA Advising Center (EAC) in Turkmenistan is a part of the global EducationUSA network of more than 400 advising centers supported by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. The EAC is an open and free information source on educational opportunities in the U.S. and U.S. standardized entrance tests: TOEFL, SAT, LSAT and GRE.
At the EAC, an EducationUSA Adviser offers individual consultations and group advising sessions on higher education in the U.S.; conducts a series of intensive workshops and presentations focused on the U.S. College and university application process to promote and advance access to U.S. higher education and prepare potentially successful applicants with accurate and comprehensive information. In addition, the EducationUSA Adviser provides prospective Turkmen students with information on Associate, Bachelor, Master’s and Doctorate degrees in U.S. higher institutions as well as helps to prepare all the necessary application documents.
The EAC Library offers free public-access Internet for academic purposes and contains brochures and catalogs about colleges and universities in the United States including information about the application process, general admission requirements, programs, and course descriptions. Additionally, the EAC library maintains materials on the scholarship search, U.S. standardized test preparation, personal statement, resume, and college writing, as well as strategies for academic excellence.
Furthermore, the American Corners in Dashoguz, Mary, and Turkmenabat also serve as regional EducationUSA Advising Centers with a wide range of U.S. higher education preparation resources available to all visitors.
