Yesterday, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in partnership with the Government of Turkmenistan and with the support of the Chevron Corporation, launched a week-long course entitled “New Types of Insurance Products and Services.” The course focuses on the role of insurance markets in national economic growth, how modern insurance markets work, as well as various types of insurance products and services, including compulsory, personal, and commercial insurance products. The course includes a number of country-specific case studies.
Participating in the training are 26 professionals representing the Turkmen State Insurance Company and the Insurance Services Joint Stock Company. Leading the seminar is Mr. Howard Mills, a seasoned insurance sector expert with decades of experience in the public regulation of insurance services.
