Please bring all of the following documents with you to your immigrant visa interview appointment:

  1. Passport: An international passport and a copy of the biographical data page for each applicant. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of entry into the U.S.
  2. Immigrant Visa Application: Click here for information on how to fill out your online immigrant visa application forms.
  3. Birth Certificates: Original birth certificates, with copy and translation into English for all applicants.
  4. Marriage Certificates: Copy and original of your marriage certificate (if you are married). For those with prior marriages, bring your marriage certificate, a copy and translation into English and the original divorce certificate/death certificate of spouse, if applicable, with a copy and translation into English.
  5. Medical Exam Results: Your medical exam results in a sealed envelope.
  6. Police Certificates: Original and English translation of Police Certificate from all countries where you have lived for more than one year since the age 16. The Police Certificates from Turkmenistan are considered no longer available for U.S. immigrant visa purposes. Applicants no longer need to request them in order to complete their U.S. immigrant visa applications.
  7. Court and Prison Records: If you have ever been arrested or convicted of a crime, submit copies and originals of all relevant court and prison documents.
  8. Military Record: Copy and original (if applicable).
  9. Photos: 7 photos 5×5 cm, with white background (you will need three of these for the medical examination forms).
  10. Evidence of Support: The petitioner and/or joint sponsor(s) must submit a complete, original, signed Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) for each beneficiary and a copy for each member of the beneficiary’s family who will be traveling to the U.S. (Fiancé(e) visa applicants require form I-134). In case your petitioner has already submitted these financial documents to the National Visa Center, you do not need to re-submit them at the interview.   11. Evidence of Relationship: Photos, emails, letters and any other evidence demonstrating your relationship to the petitioner.
